Janine Allen
Director
Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner

Janine brings extensive experience in behavioural intervention and has been working in the field of Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices since 2007. She has a deep understanding of the complexities involved in supporting individuals with a wide range of diagnoses, including:
Smith-Magenis Syndrome, Cri Du Chat Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Charge Syndrome, Acquired Brain Injury, Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Intellectual Impairment, and Misophonia.
After completing advanced training in the Assessment and Analysis of Severe and Challenging Behaviour with the Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis (IABA) in 2007, Janine has specialised in developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Her expertise in Restrictive Practices is informed by her former role as a Senior Practitioner for one of Queensland’s largest disability service providers. Janine’s compassionate, person-centred approach and deep clinical knowledge make her a trusted leader and advocate for best-practice behaviour support.

Amir Gharavi

Amir is a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience working within the NDIS framework since 2020. He brings a culturally responsive lens to his practice, drawing on his Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background to support individuals and families in a way that respects their values, identity, and lived experience.
Amir has significant experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). He adopts a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach to behaviour support, working collaboratively with participants, families, and support teams to increase quality of life and promote meaningful outcomes.
Currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Amir is committed to continuous learning and evidence-informed practice. His professional focus is on creating positive, lasting change by developing practical and personalised behaviour support strategies that align with each person’s goals, preferences, and support needs.

Hayden Shepherd
Psychologist/Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner Contractor for AYC

Hayden is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a background in psychology and behavioural therapy across clinical and community settings. He uses a calm, person-centred approach that focuses on strength-building and practical goal-setting for young people and adults.
With experience in homelessness support, youth services, case management, and clinical psychology, Hayden delivers tailored behaviour support plans, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions. He has a special interest in men’s mental health and is committed to reducing stigma through flexible, respectful therapeutic practices.
Hayden draws on techniques such as CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and is skilled in delivering diagnostic and cognitive assessments for effective, targeted support.

Ella Guzzardi

Ella supports individuals of all ages to better understand their thoughts and behaviours, with a focus on improving wellbeing and quality of life. Her areas of expertise include behaviour support, emotional regulation, stress and pain management, and navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.
With a warm, relaxed style, Daniela creates a supportive space to explore current challenges and build practical strategies for moving forward. She draws on evidence-based approaches including IPT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.
Daniela brings valuable experience from her work in the disability sector and as a vocational counsellor, supporting clients with both personal and career goals. She is passionate about solution-focused therapy, helping clients set meaningful goals and achieve positive change.
